Hermitage Single HOP Series Citra

This 7.0% ABV India Pale Ale is from the Hermitage Brewing Company of San Jose, California. It is part of their Single Hop Series. 

The beer pours a somewhat hazy deep orange and amber in color. There is a three-quarter inch head that is thick, foamy and creamy, off-white in color. The aroma is lots of orange, tangy citrus, malt and caramel, both tart and creamy, a bit like an orange dreamsicle. The taste follows the aromas, lots of orange, tangy citrus, caramel malt, tea with lemon. It has a nice amount of carbonation, but also a smoothness. The finish is fairly bitter, as would be expected from an IPA.
