Pilsner Urquell

This 4.4% ABV beer is the namesake beer of Pilsner Urquell brewery which comes from the namesake town for this pale beer style, Plzen, Czech Republic. They now make an effort to get the product overseas as quickly as possible, keeping it cold, and putting it in a six pack holder that completes covers the green glass bottles to protect them from light.

The beer pours a dark golden yellow in color. There is an inch of pure white foam. The aroma is lightly sweet, floral, grassy and golden grain. The taste follows the aromas, starting with sweet and fruity grain, then fresh, tall grass and straw, with a quite bitter finish. The beer drinks easy with a refreshing carbonation.
