This 7.0% ABV nut brown ale from the Pangaea Beer Company is brewed by the the Sand Creek Brewing Company of Black River Falls, Wisconsin. According to the bottle, it is "certifiably luscious" and "because we all go a little mad sometimes."
The beer pours a hazy dark brown, deep chestnut in color, with a tint of red. There is a short and thin head, light brown in color. The aroma is malty and tangy, sweet, caramel, a bit of sherry. The taste follows the aromas, adds some dark roast, and a surprisingly bitter finish, the bitterness of a hugely strong cup of coffee. I like the taste of this better than the aroma.
