Green Flash West Coast IPA

This 7.3% ABV India Pale Ale is from the Green Flash Brewing Company of San Diego, California. According to the bottle, this is "Extravagantly Hopped."  

The beer pours a glowing dark amber, orange and copper in color.  There is an inch of off-white head, creamy and foamy, that leaves sticky lacing down the glass. The aroma is hoppy, orange and grapefruit,caramel malt and fruit, along with tea and lemon. The taste is orange, very strong sun tea with lemon with a mouth puckeringly bitter, astringent and dry finish. The bitterness is blistering and lingers, although some citrus aftertaste makes its way through as well. I love hoppy IPA's, but this goes all for bitterness and not enough for hop flavor.
