Magic Hat Vinyl Lager

This is a 5.1% ABV amber lager that is a spring seasonal from the Magic Hat Brewing Company of South Burlington, Vermont. I am getting to it a bit late, but found it recently in the bargain section at Zipp's Liquors in Minneapolis.

The beer pours a very deep amber and chestnut in color. There is a tall, thick head of off-white foam. The aroma is very malty, nutty, roasted and toasted, with a light, tangy yeastiness. The taste is rich, nutty malt, with a light fruitiness and a nice tang. The finish is crisp and dry. The maltiness lingers pleasantly in the aftertaste. Even out of season this beer is good!
