The beer pours dark brown and ruby, with a short head of light brown foam. The aroma is malty, sweet, burnt sugar and caramel, toffee and nut. The taste is not as sweet as the aroma, but still sweetly malty and the tastes match many of the aromas, just more roasted and toasted. It has enough carbonation and bitterness to not be cloyingly sweet. It is nice tasting for the sticke alt style.
