Also known as their San Diego IPA, this beer is a strong 9.4% ABV. It is made with Nugget and Summit hops. The beer pours an orange-amber-copper in color. there is a half-inch of thick, foamy, almost creamy head that is off-white in color. The aroma is somewhat piney and spicy, with apricot and over-ripe melon. The taste is malty and spicy with fruit. This is well toasted rye bread with orange marmalade and apricot jam, with some pine cones thrown in for good measure, and a very dry and bitter finish.
“A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it is better to be thoroughly sure.” -Czech Proverb
