Tailgate Beer Blacktop Blonde

This is brewed and bottled for the Tailgate Beer company by the Cold Springs Brewery in Cold Springs, Minnesota.

This 5.0% ABV golden ale pours an intensely yellow-golden in color.  It is well carbonated with a half inch of pure white head that dissipates fairly rapidly.  The aroma is fresh and clean, honey sweet grain with a light fruitiness.  The taste is mild, it follows the aroma but is more subdued, and the finish is slightly bitter.  The mouthfeel is crisply carbonated, yet smooth.  This beer is not a stand out on its own, but it would do well for its named purpose, tailgating with grilled burgers and brats.
