The Flensburger Brauerei is in Flensburg, Germany and has brewed since 1888.
This beer pours dark honey golden with a half inch of thick, white, foamy head that leaves medium lacing down the glass. The aroma is honey, straw, apricot, and grain. The taste is like a sweet, rich, honey bread in liquid form. It finishes dry but not really bitter. The aftertaste is fresh, dried fall grain, a hint of sweet chewing tobacco and dried apricot, and just a touch of lager "funk." This is a little sweeter than many German lagers, but it is rich and delicious nonetheless.
