Mendocino Brewing Company Imperial IPA

The Mendocino Brewing Company is in Saratoga Springs, New York and has been brewing since 1983.

This 8.0% beer pours a dark copper-amber with a reddish-orange glow and a half inch of long retaining thick off-white foam.  The aroma is of dark fruits, sweet tea, a bit of citrus zest and a hint of molasses.  The taste is more malty than hoppy, thick almost burnt caramel, strong tea, some dark fruit with a very bitter and dry finish.
