This 7.8% ABV beer is a limited release and self-professed "Malty, Robust, Jobless Recovery Ale". It pours a dark brown, almost opaque, but translucent and ruby when held to the light. There is a quarter-inch of thich off-white head. The aroma is hoppier than expected, pine, burnt sugar, light aroma of dark fruits, a bit of caramel, and a touch of spiciness like appears in rye bread. The taste is slightly sweet, roasted malt, piney hops, caramelized sugar that is nearly scorched, that hint of rye bread, and a medium dryly bitter finish. The finish is also sweet at the same time it is bitter and is more sweet than the original taste. A full-flavored and very interesting beer.
“A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it is better to be thoroughly sure.” -Czech Proverb
