The beer pours a clear and bright copper in color. There is a relatively short head off fizzy, off-white foam. The aroma is lightly malty, tangy, grassy, dried grains. The taste follows the aromas, a bit roasted and toasted, toasted grains, very light caramel, with a grassy and lightly bitter finish. It drinks easy and crisply carbonated. There is a lot more “lager” than “marzen” in this, but it is very pleasant in its own way, just not what I would choose if I wanted a really malt forward Oktobefest
