Twins Lager Beer
“Twice as Refreshing” Brewed by August Schell in New Ulm, MN. This has a great old school label. It is a classic American regional lager. A lot like any of the Pabst owned lagers. Crisp, refreshing, pours golden with a vigorous one-inch head that quickly fades. Pleasant in flavor, a very drinkable session beer. I gather, but am not completely sure, that this probably used to be from an independent small Minnesota brewer and that Schell's are now brewing it as a regional nostalgia throwback. I love obscure regional American "old school" beers like this, maybe because they are a bit like taking a trip back in time or remind me of the type of beers I would have seen when I was a little kid.
