Summit Hefeweizen

This 4.8% ABV hefeweizen style beer is from the Summit Brewing Company of St. Paul, Minnesota.  It was part of their recent Boundary Waters mixed twelve pack (see the great, clever packaging below). 

The beer pours a hazy golden and copper. There is a tall white head of ragged foam. The aroma is bananas, cloves, bread, pastry. The taste follows the aromas, hitting the same notes. The finish is dry with a moderate floral and yeasty bitterness. The beer drinks smooth and soft. Good job here by Summit.
