Boulevard White IPA

The 12 pack samplers from Boulevard Brewing Company of Kansas City, Missouri now routinely includes two varieties of their "Tasting Room" beers; beers that have been available in their tasting room in the past, but not bottled. This is a 5.9% white India Pale Ale. The bottle describes it as a Belgian-style witbier meeting a hopped up American IPA.

The beer pours a hazy yellow, with sedimentary particles. There is a half-inch of pure white head. The aroma is very floral, bitter, with some overripe tropical fruit, and a touch of honey. The taste follows the aromas, and adds in citrus and orange peel. The finish is dry and moderately bitter. The beer drinks very crisp and refreshing. This is well done, but too floral for me.
