Greenbush Anger

This 7.6% ABV black IPA is from the Greenbush Brewing Company of Sawyer, Michigan.

The beer pours an extremely dark brown, nearly total black, with a bit of garnet on the edge where the light just gets through. There is an inch of thick, foamy, creamy, light tan head, sticky. The aroma is fruity, tangy, over dark roasted malt, a hint of smoke. The taste is a nice balance between the fruity tanginess and the dark roasted malt with notes of pleasant char. The beer drinks quite smooth with a soft and light tingle of carbonation.
