Begyle Bushel and a Peck

This is a 7.2% ABV honey peach saison from Begyle Brewing of Chicago, Illinois. This is batch #63 from this Community Supported Brewery. If you live in the area, you can get an annual subscription and you get a certain number of growlers each month, like community supported agriculture, or CSA's, for farms.

The beer pours amber and copper in color. There is a short-lived head of off-white. The aroma is fruity, sweet and estery, with the honey showing, but the peach doesn’t. The taste is toasted and roasted malt, darkened caramel, some bites of peach, honey sweet, with the yeast esters in between. It drinks easy, a touch smooth, with a well-blended, tingling carbonation. Interesting.
