Excelsior Big Island Blond Ale

This 5.5% ABV blond ale is from the Excelsior Brewing Company of Excelsior, Minnesota. Excelsior is on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, and you'll see a lake activity theme on the bottles of their beer. 

The beer pours clear, dark yellow golden and straw. There is a very tall head of pure white foam, somewhat thick. The aroma is grain and lemony tang, a bit of straw and grass. The taste is grain, straw, grass, with a bit of lemon and a light herbal note. The finish is crisply bitter with an immediate aftertaste of malted grain. It drinks carbonated and refreshing. This is a tasty and enjoyable blonde ale.
