Stillwater Cellar Door

This 6.6% ABV American Farmhouse style beer is brewed with wheat and white sage. White sage was widely used by Native Americans for many purposes, see an interesting note here. It is from Stillwater Artisanal Ales of Stratford, Connecticut.

The beer pours golden in color. There is a huge, billowing, foaming, white head. The aroma is very herbal, lots of sage, tangy and bright. The taste is herbal, lightly smokey, lots of sage, tangy, lemon, with a quite bitter and dry finish. It is highly and finely carbonated. One of those beers, not unenjoyable, but not sure what to make of it.
