Samuel Adams Cold Snap

This is a good beer for the forecast of the next few days. This 5.3% ABV beer is a seasonal release from the Boston Brewing Company, makers of Samuel Adams beers. It is a white ale brewed with coriander, plum and orange peel.

The beer pours a hazed apricot in color. It has a white head of large bubbles that quickly burst away. The aroma is huge coriander, to the exclusion of nearly all else, although some orange peel gets through. The taste is more balanced, healthy, hearty, toasted malt, orange and coriander working together, and I can feel the plum as well, although I probably wouldn't pick it out without knowing it was there. A very drinkable white ale, good for the season.
