Schell's Fresh Hop Mosaic Pilsner

This 5.0% ABV beer is from the August Schell Brewing Company of New Ulm, Minnesota. They were established in 1860 and I believe they are the second oldest family owned brewery in the United States, behind Yuengeling. This beer uses fresh Mosaic hops and wheat.

The beer pours a deep golden in color, with just a touch of haze. There is a very tall, pillowy, thick head of white foam. The aroma has both the funky, grassy, fresh straw aromatic kick of a pilsner, and the tangy, citrusy, fruity kick of the hops, adding in passion fruit and toasted wheat. The taste is the perfect meld of everything that makes a classic pilsner great, plus the fruit of the hops, just as the aroma. The finish is very dry and crisp, with a moderate bitterness that is pushing strong. It is perfectly and refreshingly carbonated.

More please. Kudos Schell’s, I think you just made the best India Pale Lager that is out there right now.
