Warka

This is a 5.7% ABV lager from Zywiec of Poland. According to the can, brewed since 1478. The beer pours a clear and light yellow golden in color. There is over an inch of white foamy head. The aroma is grassy, fragrant, light grain and straw. The taste follows the aromas directly, with the grain and straw a bit stronger in the taste than in the aroma. There is a flash of sweetness, immediately tamed by the grassy hops. It is moderately bitter, with a clean finish. It is nicely carbonated, ample for the style, but not overly so. This is a steady, solid Euro lager.
