Mahr's Brau Kellerbier

This 5.2% ABV is a kellerbier, a type of German ungespundet, or unfiltered lager, that translates literally as a "cellar beer". It is from  Mahr's Brau of Bamberg, Germany (the website just links to their Facebook page). The beer pours a bit hazy, and light amber in color. There is over an inch of thick, foamy head, white to off-white in color. The aroma is slightly sweet malt, grassy, a bit of straw. The taste follows the aromas, a malty lager, touch of sweetness, followed quickly by some grassy bitterness, finishing moderately dry.  There is a bit of a tang from the unfiltered yeast. Solid, but not overly remarkable.
