Pipeworks At Her Majesty's Pleasure

This bottle is Batch #37 of this 7.0% beer from the Pipeworks Brewing Company of Chicago, Illinois. It is described as an English style end of summer ale brewed with spices (coriander and orange peel which are not highly noticeable in the beer) and featuring Nelson Sauvin hops.

The beer pours a hazy orange and honey golden in color. There is an inch of thick, yet fizzy white head. The aroma is spicy, flower petals, tropical fruit, and melon. The taste follows the aromas directly, with floral and tropical fruit notes fighting each other for dominance. There is a spicy note in the background and the finish is moderately bitter. It drinks flavorful, yet light. This is very interesting, tasty and nice! A very judicious use of Nelson Sauvin hops, I had a different beer that used them and got out of control and oniony.
