This 5.0% ABV beer pours pitch black with a massive, billowing head of dark brown foam, thick and almost creamy.  The aroma is dark roasted malt, coffee, with a tart note on the end, with a whiff of pure American craft lager.  The taste follows the aromas quite directly, very dark roasted malt, lots of coffee and a bright, slightly tart, lagery finish.
