Firestone Walker Luponic Distortion No. 16 IPA Series

This 5.9% ABV India Pale Ale is from Firestone Walker Brewing Company of Paso Robles, California. Its theme is "Flavor Through Hops." This one works to impart notes of peach, pear drops (the British boiled sweet?), and dragon fruit, not by adding the fruit, but by selecting hops with those notes. 

The beer pours a deep golden color. There is a relatively short head of white foam. The aroma is fruity, with the dragon fruit and pear are more apparent than the peach. The taste follows the aromas, a mix of the various fruits, a bit like a semi-sweet tart, with a fairly bitter finish. The beer drinks with a crisp refreshment.
