Mankato Rhuby

The Mankato Brewery is in North Mankato, Minnesota. It is the first production brewery in that city since 1967. This is their 5.0% ABV rhubarb sour.

The beer pours a deep salmon, light ruby red in color. There is minimal head that fizzes away quickly. The aroma is tart, fruity, rhubarb and hibiscus. The taste follows the aromas, a perfect blend of tart with enough underlying sweetness to not pucker your face off. It is sour, but also flavorful with rhubarb. The beer drinks easy. This is an enjoyable sour.
