The beer pours deep amber with a burnt
orange and reddish tint. There is an inch of light tan head. The
aroma is deeply and richly malty, caramel, sweet potato, a malty
brewers mash. The taste follows the aromas, loads of malt, sweetness,
but with a fairly dry finish. It has a moderately intense grassy
bitterness on the end. The beer drinks easy, with a medium body and
moderate carbonation. The maltiness of this beer reminds me of
walking in Edinburgh, Scotland, when the wind and air were right, and
you could smell all of the breweries cooking their mash.
