Schell's Sangria

This 4.7% ABV lager, with fruit flavors and elderberry extract color, is by the August Schell Brewing Company of New Ulm, Minnesota.

The beer pours red with salmon, pink, and purple tones. There is nearly an inch of pink foam head. The aroma is sweet, along with fruity tang, and loads of fruit. The taste follows the aromas, sweet, but not too sweet, loads of berries. The finish is clean. The beer is medium bodied, enough to hold up the big fruit flavors. It is sweet, but not too sweet. There is moderate carbonation that adds to the refreshment, but it also has a smoothness.
