Surly Trip Hop Triple IPA

This 10.4% ABV triple dry-hopped triple India Pale Ale is from the Surly Brewing Company of Brooklyn Center (and now Minneapolis), Minnesota. 

The beer pours a clear deep, dark golden. There is a half-inch of white foam head. The aroma is fruity, citrus, apricot. The high ABV is apparent even in the aroma. The taste follows the aromas. The citrus flashes from orange to grapefruit, from sweet to bitter. There is a bit of pine in the bitterness on the finish. The beer drinks with a full body, smooth, moderately carbonated. This beer is big, yet easy to drink.
