Ron Santos 10 Ale

This kolsch style beer is brewed to honor baseball hall of famer and long time Chicago Cub, Ron Santo.  He had diabetes, and a portion of the profits go to diabetes research.  It is brewed by Nine Band Brewing of Allen, Texas.

The beer pours golden yellow in color. There is a half-inch of white head. The aroma is malty, bready, with very light fruit, citrus and plum. The taste follows the aromas, with the malt and fruit battling each other to a tie. There is definite sweetness, but the finish is clean, with a moderate, grassy bitterness. The beer drinks soft and easy, with moderate carbonation.
