Shiner Homespun Cream Ale

Shiner beers come from the Spoetzel Brewery in Shiner, Texas (pop. 2,070). This is a this is a 5.0% ABV cream ale. 

The beer pours a clear dark golden in color. There is an inch of white foaming head. The aroma is golden grains, bread dough, with hay and honey. The taste follows the aromas, drinking a bit sweet, but with a just dry and light grassy bitter finish. The beer drinks easy, smooth, with a moderately intense carbonation. This is a good cream ale.
