F-Town American Red Ale

This 6.1% ABV red ale is from F-Town Brewing of Faribault, Minnesota.

The beer pours a very dark amber, dark red in color. There is a relatively short head of tan foam. The aroma is yeasty, lots of banana and clove esters, floral, with some caramel. The taste follows the aromas, a mix of yeast notes, floral, and caramel. The finish is moderately bitter, dry, with a strange tanginess. The beer drinks with a medium body. Ugh, this beer is killing me; to me it's a hot mess, it is not at all to my taste.
