Short's Soft Parade

This is a high gravity ale brewed using rye and fermented with blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. It is from Short's Brewing of Elk Rapids, Michigan. 

The beer pours reddish pink, the color of a dark rose wine. There is essentially no head, just a ring of white foam bubbles. The aroma is filled with berries, with strawberry and raspberry coming through the most. The taste is loads of berries, fruity with a touch of tart, over toasted grain. The finish has a moderate bitterness. The beer drinks easy, with medium body and carbonation. This gets better and better as it warms a bit.
