Exile Zoo Brew Pale Ale

This pale ale is from the Exile Brewing Company  of Des Moines, Iowa.

The beer pours a lightly hazed deep golden with orange tint. There is about an inch of white to off-white head. The aroma is citrus, light tropical fruit and musk, like mango skins. The taste follows the aromas, citrus, peach, with musky tropical fruit. The finish is dry and moderately bitter. The beer drinks smooth. Straightforward, enjoyable, not much more need be said.

Trying again in 2017: The beer is 5.0% ABV and says it uses Azacca and Cascade hops. It says it is unfiltered and does pour more hazy than last year. The beer pours a hazy golden and apricot in color. There is a tall head of white foam. The aroma is citrus, apricot, with light floral. The taste follows the aromas, citrusy, fruity, crisp, with a very dry and moderatley bitter finish. The beer drinks easy. This is a refreshing and easy drinking beer. The bottle art is only slightly different.
