Leibinger Seeradler Classik

This radler, or shandy, a mix of lemonade and beer, is from the Brauerei Max Leibinger in Ravensburg, Germany.

The beer pours a clear and very pale, sun-bleached straw yellow and golden. There is an inch of white, foamy head, thick like whipped egg whites. The aroma is straightforward, lemon juice and lager, with the pleasant sulphurous note of the German lager style. The taste follows the aromas, becoming lemon curd on lightly toasted bread. The beer drinks easy with a crisp carbonation.
