Duvel

Duvel is a classic Belgian golden ale. It is bottle conditioned and has 8.5% ABV. It is from the Duvel Moortgat Brewery in Puurs, Belgium.

The beer pours golden in color, a touch hazy. There is a tall, bubbling, foaming, head of white. The aroma is bread dough, bread, honey, fresh straw, fresh hay. The taste follows the aromas, sweet and bready, toasted grain and honey, fresh hay. The beer drinks bubbly, intensely carbonated. The finish is dry with a light grassy bitterness. This is a classic beer that needs revisited from time to time.
