Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Wild Ale

This is a 72.5 IBU and 8.9% ABV beer from the Lagunitas Brewing Company of Petaluma, California. Their motto on the bottle? Life is uncertain, don't sip! It is a variation of their Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale that uses Trappist yeast.

The beer pours an orange honey golden in color. There is a very tall and very thick head of white to off-white foam. The aroma is tangy, ripe fruits, citrus, melon and tropical, very floral, but with a touch of rubbery band aid. The taste follows the aromas directly, but luckily leaves out the note of rubbery band aid. The beer drinks, smooth, soft, round, with a tingling carbonation. Interesting, but I like the regular Sumpin’ much better.
