Schlafly Summer Lager

Time to get rid of the last couple of summer beers I have in my fridge. This is a 4.5% ABV Helles style summer lager from Schlafly Beers, the St. Louis Brewing Company of St. Louis, Missouri. 

The beer pours a clear and pale yellow golden. There is about an inch of pure white head that fairly quickly reduces to nearly nothing. The aroma is exquisite, flowers, honey and toasted golden grain. The flavors follow the aromas directly. It drinks smooth, but lightly carbonated. It comes to a soft finish, with very little bitterness. This has a lot of great qualities, but I wish it had a bit more of three things: body, carbonation and bitterness.
