Revolution Coup d'Etat Saison

This is an 7.6% ABV saison. It is from Revolution Brewing, which is located in Logan Square in Chicago, Illinois. They have a brew pub with good food and beer. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in Chicago.

The beer pours a hazy light brown and amber in color. There is a relatively short head of white to off-white fizzy foam. The aroma is sweet, particularly for the style, very fruity and estery. The taste is fruits and esters. It drinks easy, moderately carbonated, moderate bitterness. This falls flat in almost every way and is a pretty bad take on a saison, it seems likes it's all over the map.  Surprised at a dud from Revolution. It got a little better as it warmed, but not what I was expecting as a saison.
