Point Coast Radler

This radler (beer mixed with citrus juice named after the German word for the bike riders who first drank it as a refresher) is from the Stevens Point Brewery in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. This 4.1% ABV version uses lemon-lime and grapefruit juices.

The beer pours a very fizzy champagne-golden yellow. There is a short-lived head of fizzing white foam. The aroma is very citrusy, lemon and grapefruit. The tatse is lemony and grapefruit over light toasted wheat. This is as soda-like as beer-like, tasting of lemon curd on white toast. It is very crisply carbonated and refreshing. Not the best radler ever made, but it is pretty good, does the job, and is pretty refreshing.
