The Shed India Pale Ale

The Shed Brewery is in Middlebury, Vermont (originally from Stowe). This is an unfiltered IPA that is 6.0% ABV. The beer pours a bright, but hazy, copper-orange-amber in color. There is a very tall and thick head of off-white foam. The aroma is orange, citrus, floral, a touch of passion fruit, and a bit grassy, over toasted malt. The taste follows the aromas, lots of citrus and grass, moderately bitter, thirst-quenchingly dry, with a crisp and refreshing carbonation and mouthfeel. The bitterness ramps up in the aftertaste, like astringent grapefruit rind, but the overall effect stays refreshing.
