Rogue Farms Honey Kolsch

Rogue Ales are from Newport, Oregon. This beer is made using honey from the Rogue hopyards and includes malts from the Rogue barley farm.

The beer pours yellow golden in color, clear, with lots of fine carbonation on the glass. There is an inch of thick pure white head. The aroma is grassy, honey, floral, bread dough. The taste follows the aromas directly hitting malt notes, then honey, then hop notes. It is semi-sweet, but with a dry and moderately bitter finish.  A very nice take on a kolsch.
