Great River Bix Street Fest Copper Ale

The Great River Brewery is in Davenport, Iowa (along the great Mississippi River) and has a solid line-up of brews. This beer is brewed in honor of Davenport's annual Street Fest. The "Bix" is Bix Beiderbecke, an influential jazz musician from the 1920's who hailed from Davenport.

The beer is 4.8% ABV and has 25 IBU's. It pours a light amber and orange in color, generous to call it light copper. There is a short and thin head of off-white foam. The aroma is lightly malty. The flavor is lightly malted, a bit of caramel, but also some sour notes.  I can tell this was a nice, drinkable copper ale at some point, but my can must be too old and has gone off, damn shame.
