Two Brothers Sidekick Extra Pale Ale

The Two Brothers Brewing Company is in Warrenville, Illinois. According to the can, "a sidekick is always there for you." This is 5.1% ABV and it has 36.1 IBU's (that's right, not just 36, but 36.1).

The beer pours  a dark, yet clear, golden in color. There is a tall, foamy head that is white. The aroma is dank hops, passion fruit, with some citrus. The taste follows the aromas, adding even more citrus, orange, lemon, lime and passion fruit. The malt is just enough to act as a subtle pedestal to let all the hop flavors shine. The finish is dry and moderately bitter. It has a just right moderate amount of carbonation and drinks refreshing. This is one of those beers where the words just don't do it justice, it is very worth trying (and repeating).
