New Albion Ale

This 6.0% ABV beer is a re-creation of the 30 year old New Albion brewed by Sam Adams. According to the bottle: "Jack McAuliffe's pioneering spirit paved the way for the American craft beer revolution. We're releasing his original Pale Ale, with its distinct American hop character, for the first time in 30 years in honor of Jack and his contributions to craft brewing."

The beer pours a yellow honey golden in color, just a touch of haze. There is about an inch of pure white foam. The aroma is floral, grassy, citrus, particularly lemon. The taste is lemony, zesty, floral and grassy, over a cracker like malt, with a moderate bitterness on the finish. It has a nice tingling carbonation, but not at all over the top. This is a tasty, refreshing and easy drinking beer. It is definitely worth a try.
