Piraat Ale

This beer is brewed and bottled by the Brouwerij Van Steenberge in Ertvelde, Belgium.

This 10.5% ABV beer pours an orange amber in color with a massive, bubbling, thick and foamy head that is white to off-white in color. The aroma is fruity, woody, herbal, tart and tangy. The taste is malty, earthy, woody, herbal, lightly fruity, tart, with a massively dry finish, slightly bitter. It is nicely carbonated, and drinks surprisingly easy for its high alcohol. This is a really well balanced and nice Belgian ale.

For some reason, the label on the 750 ml bottle is different than that on the smaller bottle.
