Flensburger Dunkel

The Flensburger Brauerei is in Flensburg, Germany.

Dunkel is German for "dark" and this is a 4.8% ABV dark lager.  The beer pours a dark copper, burnt orange-brown in color, with a short off-white head.  The aroma is malty, roasted to the point of slightly burnt, an off-note of burnt rubber.  The taste is dark roasted malt, over a touch of lager "funk".  This beer is a single, I mean it is nice to even get on base, but it sure is not a home run.
