The Sprecher Brewing Company is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was founded in 1985 by a former brewing supervisor for Pabst Brewing.
This beer is part of their Premium Reserve line of beers and comes in at 7.72% ABV. It pours slightly hazy, and copper-amber-orange in color. There is a quarter-inch of foamy and creamy head that is off-white in color. The aroma is overly yeasty for me. It is very estery, with notes of banana, overripe, almost rotting, tropical fruit. There is also tea and sweet caramel malt. The taste is not as yeasty as the aroma. There is overripe melon, tea with lemon, some yeasty and fruity esters, along with a very bitter finish.
