The aroma is sweet and fruity like pastry or fruitcake. The taste is the same, but a bit of spiciness from the rye is also apparent.
Rye Pale Ale - This 5.5% ABV beer pours a bright amber in color. There is essentially no head. The aroma is lightly fruity, stone fruits, a touch of funkiness, and some spicy, fragrant rye malt notes. The taste is better than the aroma, fruity, cherry and plum, with a nicely balanced earthy, herbal, rye maltiness.
